WSL update: Cancellation of Sunset Open for Women’s Championship tour

We were ecstatic to hear the WSL season was back in action for 2021 with the Women’s Championship Tour, featuring our brand ambassador Sally Fitzgibbons, kicking off with the  Maui Pro presented by ROXY at Pipeline.

The WSL has recently announced however that as a result of Hawaii’s suspension of all surfing competitions until further notice, the next stop on the tour, the Sunset Open, has been cancelled. Due to the current ongoing circumstances surrounding COVID-19, the WSL has also announced the postponement of the CT Santa Cruz Pro.

This puts the Rip Curl Pro at Bells Beach in April as the next event on the calendar for the Women’s Championship Tour followed by the Boost Mobile Margaret River Pro and the Corona Open Gold Coast presented by Billabong.

We look forward to watching Sally on the big-screens as she takes to the waves in our backyard.
